A summary of what happened

I was excited about a concert of one of my favorite rock band, named Dream theater. The concert took place in Chicago Theater located near the Harold Washington College. I have never expected to see them on stage because most of famous rock musicians do not offer show in South America. My expectations were very high because Dream Theater’s musicians are genuine artists, the band was assembled in the classroom of the most prestigious music college that is Berklee, they them leave the university to become a really music stars. When I arrived alone at concert  I felt scared because it was a rock concert and most of people seemed rude but I had the opportunity to talk with one of them, he was a respectful and friendly person, further, I looked a lot of families with young sons. On another hand, Chicago Theater rapidly adjust to the phrase do not judge by appearance, outside the theater looks like a common auditorium in a cosmopolitan city, but I surprised when I saw a lot of architecture details, and I remembered the Renaissance era. I got a ticket 60 feet left to stage and close me was a disable person in wheelchair, the security of theater took care him all the time. I enjoyed each minute of three concert's hours because the design of the theater performance us a high-quality audio experience. To conclude, I will tell you an anecdote, the most appreciated value of America is punctuality because the concert started at the same time that they put in the ticket.

An explanation of why you chose this event

I had listened Dream Theater for 10 year because I am drummer and my mentor taught me their song, so I know very well dream theater’s song. The currently dummer is the faster dummer in the world and have a record Guinness due to their hand speed. Further, It was the best teacher in Berklee University. I could not get lost the show I wanted to listen Mike Mangini, the drummer, on stage. Furthermore, Prior to moving to Chicago I read about the city, and it always said that you need to visit Chicago Theater. I watched some picture in the internet, I felt in love by their architecture. This concert was the Opportunity to listen my favorite band and explore the hall of one of most important theater in Chicago. 

The actual  presentation 

Dream Theater’s concert was three hour of show but they sometime spent 4 hour by concert. I think, I was a hard work because they just took a short break of 15 minute and each music are around 10 minutes. They showed on stage was a similar a symphony concert where the artists expreses a story but in this situation with electric guitar, bass, keyboard and drum. They are not pop musicians, for this reason they do not move a long but they prefer show their skills and technique with the instruments. They high quality performance was absolutely amazing and filled my expectation, however I felt nostalgic when the drummer did not played a drum solo.
