Reflection
Letter Unit 2
The
popular culture is a mirror of society because the members reflect their values
and preferences. This kind of culture is always around us and there are things
that keep on staying in our heads even it was already years after their
release. I learned a lot of the history of Pop Culture in the presentation of
my classmates and I understood that history can help me to create strong bonds
with the society in which I live.
As pop
culture is the way to learn about social values and political views point because
it is all around us. We need to develop our critical thinking to understand
what really happened in each situation because movie industry and social media explain
their point about gender, race, wars and create flash culture as “#Challenge”. I
did not know that pop culture affects society in many ways such as, how we make
interactions with people and our criteria about somethings. So, our critical
thinking is a powerful tool to judgment the day by day in the world.
My aha
moment was when I learned that pop culture try to adapt and imitate high
culture to sell more of a mass product in order to let the consumer understand
what is he/she admiring. High and pop culture are part of the same rope, in
which the two ends of the rope signal different manifestations of the rope
because pop adapts easily to high and wants to use often the looks of high but
without any kind of complexity. Furthermore, the new era brings developments in
advertising companies to increase up the consumer culture as sub-genre of pop
in other words pop culture is influence by social medical.
To
conclude this Unit, I think that pop culture is easy to understand and
entertaining to the majority of mass in a society. The importance to review
this topic about Pop Culture is to understand about what happened in the
society to guess the way in the future. Finally, the culture should be
appreciated no appropriate.
